Lights Up! After School Musical Theatre Program - with Greg Gibson (Ages 9-14) (12 Week program)
Thursdays Sept. 17–Dec. 3
4:15–5:45 PM
Lights Up!
At Lights Up!, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to be creative, take risks and discover their unique voice. We value confidence over perfection, teamwork over competition and creating an environment where every student feels supported, encouraged and celebrated.
Theatre gives young people a place to express themselves, connect with others and discover what they are capable of. It can help a quiet child find their voice, give an imaginative child room to shine and turn individual strengths into something exciting created together.
Led by experienced theatre educator Greg Gibson, whose energy, expertise and ability to connect with young performers make every rehearsal engaging, this 12 week program introduces the fundamentals of singing, acting and movement through musical theatre repertoire, games, improv, character development and ensemble work. Students will receive individual coaching and learn from professional guest instructors in acting and choreography.
With plenty of time to learn, create and rehearse, participants will build confidence, communication skills, teamwork and stage presence before celebrating their accomplishments in a fun, low pressure family showcase. The group may also have opportunities to perform at future Resonance events.
No previous theatre experience is required.
No one is ever turned away due to lack of funds. If cost feels like a barrier, please reach out. We’ll work it out together.
