Lights Up! – Musical Theatre for Young Performers
Lights Up! is an 8-week musical theatre experience designed for students ages 9–14 who want to explore the exciting world of performing on stage. Through a combination of singing, acting, and movement, students will learn the essential skills that make up musical theatre while developing confidence, creativity, and teamwork.
Each class includes fun theatre games, vocal warmups, movement exercises, and rehearsal time as students work together on several musical theatre numbers. Along the way, participants will also learn valuable audition skills such as projecting confidence, telling a story through song, and presenting themselves on stage.
The program culminates in a relaxed and celebratory performance where students will present 3–4 musical theatre songs for family and friends. This final showcase allows students to experience the joy of performing in front of an audience while celebrating everything they have learned.
Lights Up! is welcoming to both beginners and young performers with some experience. The focus is on creativity, encouragement, and helping every student discover their unique voice on stage.
