Play & Connect: Board Game Night
Board Game Night is a structured recreational program designed to provide a welcoming social environment where participants connect through tabletop gaming. The program offers guided access to a diverse library of board games ranging from easy-to-learn classics to modern strategy and cooperative games.
The goal of the program is to encourage social interaction, critical thinking, and community engagement in a relaxed, inclusive setting. Participants are supported in learning new games, understanding rules, and engaging respectfully with other players. Sessions are supervised and facilitated to ensure smooth gameplay, positive group dynamics, and an enjoyable experience for all attendees.
The program will be delivered in two age-specific groups:
Ages 10–14: 4pm-7pm
Youth sessions focus on accessible gameplay that promotes teamwork, communication skills, problem solving, and confidence building through structured play and guided instruction.
Ages 16+: 7pm-11pm
Teen and adult sessions provide a social recreation opportunity featuring a broader range of games, including deeper strategy experiences alongside casual social games. The emphasis is on community building, engagement, and recreational enrichment.
All games, materials, and facilitation are provided by the program organizer. Sessions are designed to operate safely within a shared community space while maintaining an organized and respectful environment.
Drop in's are welcome no set times, come and go as you please.

I am the Owner of the Collingwood School of Music and a Director at Resonance Cultural Centre. I have a few passions, including music and culinary arts. My other more secret passion is Board Games. As a long time player/enthusiast, I have built a collection of boardgames that are fun and strategic for all levels of players, from easy beginner, to complex strategy. One of my dreams was to run a board game cafe, this is pretty close!
