Through the course of this fall season, the sky has been asking us to go inward. Mercury and Venus, the planets of communication and relationships, have been in retrograde, and that reflective energy has invited us to turn inward: to dive deep into our emotions, to question how we connect with others, and to feel what is inside. Now those retrogrades are coming to an end, and life begins moving forward again.
Alongside the New Moon in Scorpio, it's a moment to cultivate coherent ways of connecting with others and with the world.
The lotus grows through the mud and rises into the light, this is a special symbol to consider for this shift. All the reflection, honesty and emotional processing of these past months has been doing its work beneath the surface. Lotus Flower is a chance to feel that bloom: to come back to the light, carrying the wisdom of everything you've been through.
Lotus Flower is an ecstatic dance journey, orchestrated by DJ Drez Slezak, visiting us from Ottawa, founder of Sonic Springs music and arts festival.
Arrive and have a moment to connect and land into self. Explore the immersive décor and art installations by Realm Collective, along with the Alive Altar created by Leslie Brennan. The journey begins with an introduction and activation meditation with Paz. Followed by a warm up flow with Justin Hill. From then the movement journey with Drez Slezak will lead the deep dive into the shift that opens up. Closing circle with Paz.
When you arrive, you will be asked to remove your outdoor shoes. Bring indoor shoes if that is more comfortable for you.
We keep a no-talking space during the dance, so everyone can go deeper into their own journey
Reminder that this is a no-talking space during the dance and we are going to keep silent until the end, which allows for deeper reflection, processing and introspection as this is an experience and gift from you to you 🩵
Social time will happen once the event is over for those who want to stay and connect in that capacity, for those who want to take their inward journey and leave right away, or at anytime, that is also acceptable. There are no strict expectations but ideally everyone should arrive at 6:50 pm and expect to start 10-15 after that, and experience the full duration of this rich event.

What is Ecstatic Dance?
Ecstatic Dance is a freeform, DJ-guided movement journey where the dance floor becomes a space for exploration, expression, and release. Through rhythm, ritual, and intention, participants are invited to drop beneath the mind and into the wisdom of the body. There are no steps to follow—participants are invited to move in their own way, at their own pace, within a respectful and supportive space.
From this place, movement becomes a doorway—into personal inquiry, connection, and presence. Each journey unfolds uniquely, offering space to expand, to soften, and to listen. A moving meditation, and dance-floor medicine for the body, heart, and spirit.
